Listen to the great and you will become the great
Before we start playing any style of music, we have to get that groove and feel of the music. A lot of beginners will have a common question in their head, is it sound nice? this is why we need to listen more music especially the music with guitar parts in it so that our brain can absorb the nice tone, the correct articulation, the beautiful phrasing and others from a great guitarist. i will suggest a few guitarist or band for you to listen:
Rock/Metal/Blues:Guns n Roses, Deep purple, AC/DC, liquid tension experiment, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Joe Satriani,Iron Maiden, Eagles, Metallica, Slipknot, Nirvana, Gary Moore, Jimi Hendrix, Bon Jovi,Eric Clapton,etc
Funk/Soul/Motown: Jamiroquai, tower of power, Incognito, Earth Wind Fire, James Brown,etc
Fusion, Jazz:Scott Henderson,Lee Ritnour,Pat Metheny, Frank Gambale, Guthrie Govan,Casiopea, T-square,etc
(every people have different taste of music, we need an open mind to listen every kind of music because our taste of music and knowledge of music will get wider next time and it mean we can play more than 1 kind of genre)
Figure out how to play guitar like them. Everybody can!!!

Why Beginner Should Start with Electric Guitar
The advantage of start learning guitar with electric guitar:
- Easier to play for beginners. Less pain.
- More versatile, you can use it long term because it allows you to learn many kind of music. it has no limited style like acoustic/classical guitars have.
- The price worth more compare buying a electric and cheaper than an acoustic guitar in long run.
- Able to play 90% songs that you like.
- The volume of the guitar can turn it soft like a whisper or loud enough to play in a band. it mean you can play it 3am midnight or play it in front of a concert hall.
- The biggest benefit is it motivates a rocker to practice. Rocker hate to play a rock song with an acoustic guitar.
